An internship can take many different forms, and is a great partnership between a person and a church. Whether it's your gap year after finishing school, tertiary qualification, or as part of a new season in your life, there's an opportunity for up to five people to have a life changing year.

Shortlisted applicants will go through an interview process with leaders from Invercargill Christian Centre. Successful applicants will be notified directly. Applications for 2020 close mid November
Please note: Limited space is available each year, so application doesn’t automatically guarantee entrance into the internship programme.
Qualifications:
· 18 years old or over. · Living a lifestyle which shows they are a follower of Christ. · Fully supports the vision, values and leadership of Invercargill Christian Centre and Acts Churches New Zealand. · Be able and willing to add value to the life of the church.
Schedule - full and part time options available
20 hours per week plus serving and/or attending church in the weekends, as well as potentially completing a relevant ministry diploma.

FAQs
Do interns work on weekends?
Yep, you’ll generally be expected to get involved with a weekend service and attend a weekend service. These include Youth nights and Sunday Morning and Night services.
What funding is available for internships?
When you complete an internship for Invercargill Christian Centre as part of a course through Equippers College or Vision College, you will be eligible for Student Allowance, and/or student loan. There is also some flexibility for completing part time work in conjunction with your internship (as long as it doesn’t impact on your availability during key times of the area you are involved in).
Do I get a qualification?
There are several options available through Vision College and Equippers College, with different focuses. You can complete a qualification with more of a biblical teaching focus, or personal development focus. It’s best to have a yarn with us to discuss the best option for you.
